Elections

Hi everyone. Elections are coming up on March 28. We are requiring that candidates notify Alliance (IN WRITING) at the latest 5 days before the election date (March 23) of your plan to run and what position. This can be presented in email (alliancemsu@gmail.com) or posted on our facebook event.

There's the position and a few of their respective responsibilities::


Chairperson- be the spokes person for Alliance, facilitate meetings, have a knowledge of ASMSU and university guidelines, be the face of the LBGTIQQA community campus wide


Vice Chairperson- maintain relationship with CORES/COPS and caucuses, assist chairperson when needed, have knowledge of ASMSU workings


Panel Coordinator- Assist Dee with Panel and Guess Who's Gay events, actively recruit members for the two programs


Office Manger- keep office organized and clean, maintain library, take minutes and send out to fellow eboarders, hold office key to open and lock office, have office hours


Special Events Coordinator- organize and plan events for special cases (ie National Coming Out Week, Pride Week, Group events at the Conference)


Public Relation Coordinator- handle and direct incoming/outgoing emails (ie maintaining email account) create and distribute flyers for events, create press releases, primary media contact


Webmaster- Maintain (and redesign) website, maintain internet social networks (ie facebook page)


Treasurer- keep finical records and be able to present when necessary, be the ASMSU Programing Board representative (find replacement if unable to attend a meeting and provide letter), present yearly operating budget,


Conference Coordinator- coordinates conference(s) ((note this is mainly for MBLGTACC), works with Special Events Coordinator through out session


Academic Assembly Rep- serves as voting rep for the LBGTIQQA student body on the ASMSU Academic Assembly, attend AA ASMSU meetings regularly (find replacement if unable to attend a meeting and provide written proof for ASMSU), fulfill ASMSU requirement for sitting on Academic Assembly


Student Assembly Rep- serves as voting rep for the LBGTIQQA student body on the ASMSU Student Assembly, attend SA ASMSU meetings regularly (find replacement if unable to attend a meeting and provide written proof for ASMSU), fulfill ASMSU requirement for sitting on Student Assembly


RHA Rep- serves as voting rep for the LBGTIQQA student body on the RHA General Assembly, attend SA ASMSU meetings regularly, fulfill RHA requirement for sitting on General Assembly
